LIFE - A Reminder

A boat docked in a tiny Mexican village. An American
tourist complimented the Mexican fisherman on the
quality of his fish and asked how long it took
him to catch them.
"Not very long," answered the Mexican.
"But then, why didn't you stay out longer and catch
more?" asked the American.
The Mexican explained that his small catch was
sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family.
The American asked, "But what do you do with the rest
of your time?"
"I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children,
and take a siesta with my wife. In the evenings, I go
into the village to see my friends, play the
guitar, and sing a few songs... I have a full life."
The American interrupted, "I have an MBA from Harvard,
and I can help you!
You should start by fishing longer every day. You can
then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra
revenue, you can buy a bigger boat."
"And after that?" asked the Mexican.
"With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you
can buy a second one and a third one and so on until
you have an entire fleet of trawlers.
Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can
then negotiate directly with the processing plants and
maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave
this little village and move to Mexico City, Los
Angeles, or even New York City! From there you can
direct your huge new enterprise."
"How long would that take?" asked the Mexican.

"Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years," replied the
American.
"And after that?"
"Afterwards? Well my Friend, That's when it gets
really interesting," answered the American, laughing.
"When your business gets really big, you
can start selling stocks and make millions!"

"Millions? Really? And after that?" said the Mexican.

"After that you'll be able to retire, live in a tiny
village near the coast, sleep late, play with your
children, catch a few fish, take a siesta with your
wife and spend your evenings doing what you like and
enjoying your friends."

And the moral is:
Know where you're going in life... you may already be
there.

Alright, there's another experience from me regarding this. I shall call this The Sedingoprom Syndrome. First, I suffer one of the effect which makes me retarded in learning EM.. Normally I could understand a new concept fast and remembered it better. Now I had been forgeting things more than I learn.. For example, I learned Newton-Raphson method last Friday but then I can totally forget about it when I wanna do my assignment on Monday morning.

Then, I suffered from critical thinking deficiency.. Proof? Before this I always get 1 mark for every quiz since the beginning but this morning when I'm taking the quiz my brain was totally freeze.. That is bad.. Really bad.. It seems like my performance is only 50% of normal performance.

If you think that this is nothing, here comes the worst part. Besides these effects, I also become absent minded. Why? I lost my pendrive.. Well atlest I "thought" I lost my pendrive just now. I was thinking of using a logged in pc to send my presentation slide to my group leader but then when I wanna take it out from my pocket, I just couldn't find it anyway. Then Avery advised me to check it in the Simulation Lab.

When I reached there, I couldn't find it anyway. I tried to ask around my friend but none of them saw my pendrive. Then I proceed to look for Dr. Ling in his office. He said he didnt see any too. He asked me to look for Mr. Luk Tien Boh to see if he see any pendrive or not. After that I rushed down to Mr. Luk's room but to no avail. He was not in.

Dissapointed, I went down to the library to see Avery. I told him I couldn't find my pendrive anyway. He then told me he don't know what to do also.

Just then I saw a pendrive beside Avery's pc. The pendrive has a black head and metalic body. I quickly took it and ask who's the owner of that pendrive. When I examine it carefully, I know it's my own.

After running all over the building, my pendrive was just less then one foot from my hand and I didn't even notice it.

I really need a remedy for this sickness..

Yea, u may need to clear the mist in your head. Nah, anyway, we do that sometimes, ie screwing ourselves up by doing silly stuffs. No worries. Take a break, take a deep breathe, you'll feel much better.
