Boulevard has one too but we went to tHe Spring because it’s nearer.
Well, it started like this. It so happened that I sms Keith.
-Whn is ur off day?-
-Me n Johnson today off. Why wassup?-
-Battlefield?-
-1 missed call.
When I called back, Keith asked me to go to MFM for lunch. At first I was reluctant to go because I know a meal there would cost me 3 ordinary meals. After some considering, I changed decided to go. “Once in a while, you have to treat yourself a bit.” Din 2008. Well, that’s the main reason I wanted to have a treat for myself although there are thousands of reasons to decline this offer.
We met Keith around 1pm. We were so bold that we just walked straight in to Keith’s seat despite of long lines outside.
From the picture above, we know that he is not happy of waiting. Not unhappy of waiting us but his meal.
There are press people sitting on our right, I wonder if they really eat all those dishes F.O.C.
Are they from the Borneo Post? Check it out on this Sunday..
Drin recommended Fish and Chips to me. Believe it or not I never try this dish before. Here’s how it look like, and let’s hear how the sakai speaks.
“As dressing on top of the fillet and fries.”
“Hey, Drin. I can see the fish but where’s the chips?”
“Neh… There. (Pointing at the Fries)”
“Hah.. Those are chips ah?”
“Yalar..”
The fish really are very fresh! It’s crunchy on the outside while on the inside, the fish’s texture is like steamed fish. I wonder how they made it. Tell you the truth; I don’t really like French fries without sauce because it is tasteless. But these fries are really different from what I had tasted before. It has some spices on it that makes it special. Moreover, that plate of fish and chips is really satisfying in quantity too. I couldn’t take my dinner well that evening because I was still full. Even Keith is full and can’t finish his fried mushroom, rice and fries.
Beside my Fish and Chips is Keith’s Fried Mushroom. “Oh man! The (fried mushroom) are oh man!” (Johnson 2006) So nice! Though I can't really identify what type of mushroom it is..
Here’s my mocha. “Beginner’s coffee” (Drin 2008)
After waiting for about 20 minutes, finally Keith’s meal arrived in fire.
Too bad I forgot to take the photo of that dish.
When we leave, one of the waiter standing outside will shout, “ Customer leaving.” And then all other waiter and waitress will shout “Thank you and come again!” in one accord. It’s odd and unpractical to me. Imagine if you are having full house and there are a lot of costumer waiting outside. Then whenever people leave they will shout that chorus, the costumer dining there would felt annoyed and also, their efficiency in serving costumer is lowered too.
But I can tell you this, that was the first time I can really tell that I was eating fish not flour. Manhattan Fish Market really changed my concept of eating fish. Never know there are 101 ways to eat fish until you visit Manhattan Fish Market. I will be back! When I save enough money of course.

I agree that the food tastes great. But really can't have too many luncheons there lar... RM14.90 per meal is more than enough to leave even a well-off person crying over holey pockets.
WAH!!! de fire thingy is cool... haha..
at the face shop they say anyonghasyeyo to you in a chorus when u enter the shop, and at igloo they say welcome and bye to u in a chorus as well. I don't think that's such a bad thing as long as it's not too loud.
Saykhia: I totally agree with you. Let's have another one when school reopen k? The price + 5% Government tax.. + 10% service tax.. I saw the bill just now. Now wonder they have to shout like that..
Laura: Ya, it's really cool! But I couldn't affort the seafood platter... It's RM42.50..
Alice: Haha! I see.. Should Swinburne hired some of these people and say hello or goodbye during School open day. :P
