Chinese New Year is just around the corner. People are rushing for their eleventh minutes shopping. Some of them had bought their clothes before Christmas; some are still thinking what to buy. Others just rushed for everything they see. I went to Boulevard last Sunday with my aunts and mom. They wanted to shop for Chinese New Year of course. After they bought their clothes last year (2007), now is time for food stockpile.
While they have another walk in the female department, I have a tour around the building to look for a clean toilet. The DiGi booth is still where it was since it opened, people are still queuing for raw fish.
Haha! My favourite fast food-restaurant in between franchise, the Manhattan Fish Market. Though it is categorized as [restoran] on the top left of the sign board.
There is also a pop star search competition. If you want to know how it is like, imagine your have a neighbour that is so enthusiastic in singing that he spent most of his evening singing his favourite song. Nothing wrong actually if you are enthusiastic in singing, the problem is that you soon found out he sing out of tune and off beat through out the whole song. Nothing is worst than he is still singing unaware of out of tune and off beat. Moved away as soon as I heard this. I’m very grateful that my neighbour is the champion of Karaoke in Kuching.

If only I’m 10 years younger, I would be the one standing there.
Finally I ended up here. Inspiration. Well, I almost forget my main objective, looking for a clean toilet. Too many shoppers and too less cleaner.
Ok, actually I wanted to have a haircut. My sis told me there is a promotion in Alan Salon so I followed my aunts and mom here. Sorry yeah Aldrin for not going to badminton.
They gave a quick shampoo first before it starts.
Here, my hair stylist, Morris is showing his stylist cut. If he got BO, I’m the first to go off.
He is really good in posing for photo while working.
After some cutting and slashing, here comes the Ah Beng of first year Civil Eng. Student.

By the way, I saw Shirley in World Sports. Her first reaction after she saw me was something like this. Not sure what she means though.
Ok, after having my haircut I have to fulfill my duty, pushing shopping cart in the hypermarket. Ah Beng hairstyle is really good because people tend to give way when you push your trolley through.. The drawback is that people don’t really want to give out free sample to me. They gave them to my aunts and mom instead.
The photo above shows the food and drinks for Chinese New Year for one of the trolley.
As can you see, we spent almost RM400 in just two carts. Inflation inflation inflation..
Pushing trolley to the carpark.
On the way down and under
After that we went home with full of Chinese New Year Goodies. That was of course not everything we had bought for cny, there is a little more left to buy.
Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
