Once Upon a Chinese New Year

The Mandarin Orange

This is Smiley Soon Ah Huat, the mandarin orange. He is from mainland China. He was shipped here with many others. He felt lonely because he had separated from his friends.

However, he is very excited in his new life and look forward to be one of the best mandarin orange ever grew in China.
One day, Ah Huat found his dream orange and fell in love with her. He was very happy that he had the most wonderful time with her.
He would row on the floor whenever he missed her. His smile would never fade because in his heart, he knew he was going to see her in a little while.

In leisure time, he would just lie on the floor and think of her and all the happy moment they went through together. Then he’ll smile all day long.
He knew that she is the one, because she has the power to turn the darkest night in his life to dawn. Thus making him strong and kept on smiling all the way although he faced many obstacles in his life.
Even when all have failed, he would keep on smiling and never give up.
He would never miss any chance to sms or call her. Even if calling her just to say “Hi!”
Unfortunately, things turn sour at the moment. He sat on high place hopping to find a remedy for it or just to look for her. He still smiles.

He had been sitting there and waited for her a while now, when people asked him why does he still doing something that won’t likely to succeed? He would just smile and answer,

“I believe in a thing called love, love is patient, love is kind, It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoice with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”

Suddenly Ah Huat felt himself lifted from the table… Then

I haven’t tasted a mandarin orange since last year… Wonder how this one taste?

It’s so juicy inside! I prefer the sour taste more

Hmm.. Not bad! Not too sour, not too sweet. Just right! Must eat mandarin orange in Chinese New Year!
