I'd not been doing well these days, maybe I kept on comparing myself with others, in everything I do. When I found out I'm not as good as the others, I'll be upset over it. Until I read an email from a friend recently...

God's Boxes 神給我兩個盒子

I have in my hands two boxes, 我手上有兩個盒子

Which God gave me to hold. 都是神給的

He said, 'Put all your sorrows in the black box, 祂說把悲傷放在黑盒子裡

And all your joys in the gold.' 把快樂放在金盒子裡

I heeded His words, and in the two boxes, 我聽了祂的話

Both my joys and sorrows I stored, 把快樂和悲傷分別裝進兩個盒子裡

But though the gold became heavier each day, 不過. 金盒子每天都有加重

The black was as light as before. 但黑盒子卻依舊輕盈

With curiosity, I opened the black, 我感到很好奇就打開黑盒子

I wanted to find out why, 想要一探究竟

And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole, 結果我在盒子底下發現一個洞

Which my sorrows had fallen out by. 我的悲傷都從那邊漏出去了

I showed the hole to God, and mused, 我把那個洞指給神看感到納悶 '

I wonder where my sorrows could be!' 我不知道我的悲傷哪裡去了

He smiled a gentle smile and said, 祂輕輕地微笑說

'My child, they're all here with me.' 我的孩子.它們都在我這兒呢

I asked God, why He gave me the boxes, 我問神為什麼祂要給我兩個盒子

Why the gold and the black with the hole? 為什麼一個金色的 一個黑色卻漏底的

'My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings, 我的孩子金盒子是要給你數算你的祝福的

The black is for you to let go.' 黑盒子是要給你拋開憂慮的..

The gold is for you to count your blessings, the black is for you to let go. I think of this phrase a few times and found out something astonishing.

Let me compare the present me and with 5 years ago.

1. I was 1625mm in 2003 and I'm now 1630mm! Yeah!
2. I weight approximately 411.5N in 2003 and I'm now 461.7N!
3. I used to play my aunt's classical guitar in ISCF back then... Now I own 2 guitars! Haha!
4. Back then when I finally pressed the cord, the songs is on the next cord. Now I can play most of the songs I can sing. Can even play some guitar solo. Hah!
5. Back then, I only know how to press G, Em, C, D, A, Am. Now I know most of the most used cords!
6. I used to played in ISCF with around 20 person back then, now I played in church service with around 600 persons worshipping God.
7. I can't read music notes properly back then, now I can even side read during choir singing!
8. I was only an average student back then but now I even got merit scholarship from last sem! haha!
9. I used to hang out with some gay friends, still do.. Now I have even more gay friends!
10. Used to lepak-lepak with gay friends around town area, now we usually had supper till late night!
11. I always got complained by my teacher, Puan Kadijahwati of Kuching High saying my hair is too long [Si Rambut Panjang], now I got even longer hair! Ops...
12. Used to like a girl back then but got rejected, liked a girl recently and got rejected too. Now they both have bf respectively. [Huh?]
13. I owned a Nokia 3315 that can help in crab meals, now I own a 3G Sony Erricson k610i! Haha! Phones are cheaper now.. :p
14. I used to play games with my Pentium 3 pc.. Now I usually torment my 2 years old laptop.
15. Had 2 genius friends[Exel in academic performance and play piano, one of them even played violin] back then, now the number has increase to 3[I still consider the third one a genius though he can play neither piano nor violin].
16. Move from my old house to the present house.
17. No martial arts skill, now I'm an Aikido student.
18. Can't speak and write English very well that time. Now atleast I can understand what the geniuses are writing.
19. Used to score it maths although I didn't really put in much effort. Now I can hardly score in maths though I put it extra effort. [I'm on a higher level. XD]
20. Had a Ti-30 back then, now I have a Ti-83 plus!
21. There are lots more but I don't think I have the time to write them all out. Got complained by Abubu for long posts.[Atleast got people read my blog! Haha!]

I guess I'm improving after all! I'm happy with my life but I'm not satisfied. I will be moving on!
