Had been very busy with my CEP assignment lately..

During last semester, I only typed a 10 pages report and I already grumbled.



In this sem, I typed about 19 pages of Civil Engineering Report draft, 20+ pages of tender specifications for concrete, drawn about 11 pages of Engineering and calculated loading for a small floor area.

After all this haul, what I get is nothing but bad words... Someone scolded me "Damn Dwarf"... I think this is the 1st time a leader get scolded by one's members.. It was founf to be a mistake after that..

Was greatful that some people came to lend me their hands when I'm in need.

Talking about my specifications in tender.. It's about concrete.. While typing the tender, I actually found out many nonsence writings..

Longest sentence.

ii. 1.64 times the standard deviation of cube tests on at least 40 separate batches of concrete of nominally similar proportions of similar materials and produced over a period exceeding 5 days but not exceeding 6 months by the same plant under similar supervision, but not less than 1/3 of the characteristic strength for concrete of grade 10 or 15, or 7.5N.mm2 for concrete of grade 20 or above.

Nonsence and confusing.. Couldnt understand what it is written. Not to mention... Super long too..

Where there are insufficient data to satisfy (i) or (ii) above, the margin for the initial mix design shall be taken as two-thirds of the characteristic strength for concrete of grade 10 or 15 or 15N/mm2 for concrete of grade 20 and above. This margin shall be used as the current margin only until sufficient data are available to satisfy (i) or (ii) above. However, when the required characteristic strength approaches the maximum possible strength of concrete made wit a particular aggregates, a smaller margin but not less than 7.5N/mm2 may be permitted for the initial mix design.
