A Sharing

Yesterday was really an eventful day, After church service we have a little sharing among the members of commitee. We are to voice out our opinion mainly on personal relation skills and what we can do to make our youth fellowship better.
We started the activity by distributing a piece of cute paper to our next person. Then we stick this piece of paper on the back of the next person. When everyone had paper on their back we started to write encouraging words with our signature on it. Rev. Ting mentioned we should show our real concern by putting down signature.Writing on people's back is really a fun thing to do, when other people wrote on your back it feels like massaging. Haha! The birthday cake is for those whose birthday are from the first half of the year. Ops! I forgotten myself. Tsk~This game is not a new game, the objective of this game is to bring encouragement to members of commitee in serving the Lord. When people make mistake and realised it, they wanted to changed. Most people end up no changing because changing takes a lot of effort and confidence. When we are given credits on what we have done, we will change for the better because confidence others have given us. So if you want somebody to change for the better, remember to give them encouragement.I wrote on 7 people's back and in return, I got 7 nice messeges from them too! :) In the evening, we gave a surprise birthday party to Sherine and Igno, well quite an old trick I should say, then again who cares if it is? The most important thing is, it worked!
The 21st and 25th birthday of Sherine and Igno respectively, taken when they give their speech. Here comes the moment of truth, looks like Igno had prepared to blow the candles but Sherine is still in the midst of her birthday dream.. Haha! Now you get what I meant, the candles was blown out before she blew. Nice one, Igno. Haha! Having friends to celebrate birthday is really a nice thing. The feeling is just beyond description of any words. By the way I just remembered, not many people from youth will visit my blog, most of them don't even know I have a blog. Hmm... It's ok then.

There Goes A Week

I have gone through another hectic week, time fly so fast that I didn't realize it's mid-sem already. Just an update on what had happened throughout the weeks.

First of all, since 350 foundation students begun to flood Swinburne, we are having less and less parking space. It's still ok if we can find a parking lot at the carpark but somehow some newbies really don't know how to park properly.

Those two cars blocked my car on during last Tuesdat when we wanna go out for breakfast. Copy their no down and go buy 4D. Hehe!

Even in the multipurpose carpark, some people still can't park properly...

Last Saturday, we did some surveying improperly..

Which end up having the accuracy of 1:14

After surveying, I went to Aikido practice, When we went down from the Dojo, we found Ah Beng's car window got smashed at Dua Puluh Sen, Jalan Simpang Tiga.

Su Chan moved to Gardenia Court the next day, I was asked to help her to move her stuff there.

We had small cars you see, so her boy friend had to put on wok instead of helmet when we move her stuff from Chong Lin

In school, I'm glad I can help Keith with his MOS

Besides, I did learn how to draw flower on my calculator!

Will any girl be impressed by this flower?

We really sweat a lot on CEP, we look for information until JPJ... Well, on the way there, we did stop by tp try out the original three layer Teh-C Peng.

That's mine! XD

Besides JPJ, we also visited these places

Informaion hunt was really terribly hard to do, fortunately, our 4 leaders for CEP are actually good friends, when we are tired of interviews and documentations, Maxbie tried some of his stress difusal trick on us.

Nice tatoo he got there, or maybe he is the one who get over stressed?

My life is so busy that I couldn't have enough sleep... CEP.. Hold on blog, I'll be back

Sushi King: From my point of view

Appetizer

Our gang went to Sushi King Boulevard last Saturday. Actually I have youth every Saturday evening, but having to know that one of them has a “buy one free one” coupon, I joined them.

They actually buy the coupon via phone which cost them RM3 per coupon, I remembered Sushi King once distributed their coupons in Swinburne but not many people area interested. Now when they imposed selling coupons then everyone started to sms for the coupon. Strange yea?

As the representatives of Sakai Association Kuching a.k.a. SAG, I just learned that there are two types of sauce in sushi. One is Shoyu, the sweet sauce and the other one is Nitsume, the salty sauce. Whenever you eat sushi, you can dip your sushi into wasabi – Nitsume sauce and have a Wow Wow feeling.

The picture above might be octopus with rice but I’m not sure, I just eat. The second picture is undeniable the legendary salmon with rice, just look at the structure(Keith)/texture(Me) of that sushi! Too bad it doesn’t come as often.

When stuff like peas are rotating on the track, Keith had no choice but to by pass the track and wait for something good and at the same time talking to a few taken hot chicks.

When we really can’t stand having the same type of sushi on the track for a few rounds even the boy is tired of looking at the same dish, we decided to order something special. The second picture shows a bowl of rice with fried chicken. The one below is a plate of chicken satay.

Fried fish on the top picture and the stacking empty plates, do not be deceived by the picture for it is less than half of the total plate Keith and I had conquered.

This is my last sushi but Keith wasn’t having enough, he wants more, so after calculating the amount we share, he moved to the girls table and continued his feast on seafood.

In the end, Keith had conquered the Sushi King Tritower! Just kidding, that’s the end product of the girls and the boys table not exactly end product. Keith and I were sitting at the men table so we can’t combine our plate with them. Otherwise we can erect another tower.

This is the photo I had taken when I want to dip my sushi into the sauce. From the picture we know that the sushi rice fell off before I was able to dip it. These are the qualities of Sushi King nowadays. On another point of view, it does reflect life.

Yeah yeah, you can say that somehow I’m enlightened by Saint Avery Just Kidding. “Shit happens” Avery 2006.

Life is not perfect. Some times we may face situation that might bring us down and under. Many times we can work out a way to fix it, other time we just have to accept it. Having to know it happens can already break you apart, trying to accept the fact out of it is just too much. But then this is life, after you had broken apart and lying in pieces, you should get yourself back to one piece because life goes on. However bad you were torn, you’ll have to find a way to stitch it back. It is not easy alright but at least you’d done something. Of cursing, damning and making your friends as enemies and your enemy as your worst enemy, why don’t you change the way you view? Yes, things may not be the way it was but we can’t neglect other zillions of beautiful things out there just because of one bad thing. You only live once, live till the fullness. If you think you can’t do this alone, hold on to God like I do.

Stickman Soon Eng sat on the wall,
Stickman Soon Eng had a great fall,
All the King’s needle and all the King’s thread,
Was able to put Soon Eng together again.

Manhattan Fish Market

I went to Manhattan Fish Market, tHe Spring yesterday. Keith defines these franchises as fast food - restaurant in between.
Now in Kuching.

Boulevard has one too but we went to tHe Spring because it’s nearer.

Well, it started like this. It so happened that I sms Keith.

-Whn is ur off day?-

-Me n Johnson today off. Why wassup?-

-Battlefield?-

-1 missed call.

When I called back, Keith asked me to go to MFM for lunch. At first I was reluctant to go because I know a meal there would cost me 3 ordinary meals. After some considering, I changed decided to go. “Once in a while, you have to treat yourself a bit.” Din 2008. Well, that’s the main reason I wanted to have a treat for myself although there are thousands of reasons to decline this offer.

We met Keith around 1pm. We were so bold that we just walked straight in to Keith’s seat despite of long lines outside.

From the picture above, we know that he is not happy of waiting. Not unhappy of waiting us but his meal.

There are press people sitting on our right, I wonder if they really eat all those dishes F.O.C.

Are they from the Borneo Post? Check it out on this Sunday..

Drin recommended Fish and Chips to me. Believe it or not I never try this dish before. Here’s how it look like, and let’s hear how the sakai speaks.

“What do I do with the lemon? I mean that piece of lemon?”

“As dressing on top of the fillet and fries.”

“Hey, Drin. I can see the fish but where’s the chips?”

“Neh… There. (Pointing at the Fries)”

“Hah.. Those are chips ah?”

“Yalar..”

The fish really are very fresh! It’s crunchy on the outside while on the inside, the fish’s texture is like steamed fish. I wonder how they made it. Tell you the truth; I don’t really like French fries without sauce because it is tasteless. But these fries are really different from what I had tasted before. It has some spices on it that makes it special. Moreover, that plate of fish and chips is really satisfying in quantity too. I couldn’t take my dinner well that evening because I was still full. Even Keith is full and can’t finish his fried mushroom, rice and fries.

Beside my Fish and Chips is Keith’s Fried Mushroom. “Oh man! The (fried mushroom) are oh man!” (Johnson 2006) So nice! Though I can't really identify what type of mushroom it is..
Here’s my mocha. “Beginner’s coffee” (Drin 2008)

After waiting for about 20 minutes, finally Keith’s meal arrived in fire.

Too bad I forgot to take the photo of that dish.

When we leave, one of the waiter standing outside will shout, “ Customer leaving.” And then all other waiter and waitress will shout “Thank you and come again!” in one accord. It’s odd and unpractical to me. Imagine if you are having full house and there are a lot of costumer waiting outside. Then whenever people leave they will shout that chorus, the costumer dining there would felt annoyed and also, their efficiency in serving costumer is lowered too.

But I can tell you this, that was the first time I can really tell that I was eating fish not flour. Manhattan Fish Market really changed my concept of eating fish. Never know there are 101 ways to eat fish until you visit Manhattan Fish Market. I will be back! When I save enough money of course.
